Telangana District Judge Vacancy Notification 2024 – Details of Post
The Telangana State Judicial Service is recruiting 9 district judges. The selection will be based on an offline examination followed by Viva Voice. The application process began on 14 May 2024 and will last till 13 June 2024. The form for the post of Telangana District Judge will be filled offline. You can download the form from the link given below. The examination will be held in August on 24(Saturday) and 25(Sunday) August respectively.

Eligibility
Candidates who are interested in this post must clear the following eligibility criteria –
- Candidate must be a practicing advocate either in Telangana High Court or any other court under its control.
- They must complete at least 7 years as an advocate till the date of notification release, that is 14 May 2024.
- They must not be a full-time salaried law officer in central or state government or private or public corporations.
- Age Limit – 35-48 years(3 years upper age relaxation for SC,ST candidates)
- The candidate must have a command of Telugu language(reading, writing, and speaking).
- Must be a citizen of India
Examination Details
The mode of exam for the post of District Judge of Telangana will be Offline. The entire process consists of 3 papers –
- Constitution and Civil Laws
- Criminal Laws
- English(Includes English to Telugu translation and vice a versa)(Qualifying Paper)
Each paper carries 100 Marks and has a duration of 3 hours. Candidates who have more than 60% will be eligible for the Viva Voice. Furthermore, the candidates who belong to the SC/ST category of 50% or more physical disability will have the qualifying marks of 50%.
Among the qualified candidates, the High Court will call upon them for viva voice in the ratio of 1:3. The aggregate marks of the written exam and viva voice will decide the provisional selection of the candidates.
